Alfred R. Marrone, Jr.

Royal Palm Beach, FL - Alfred Raymond Marrone Jr. (Fred), 89, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida (formerly from Brielle, NJ), passed away on May 20, 2021 after a long illness. He was born on March 11, 1932 and was a graduate of Manasquan High School in 1952. After high school, he joined Dickson Supply Company in Brielle and worked there for 30 years. He then joined L&H Plumbing & Heating where he was General Manager of the Avon, NJ location until he retired in 1997.

Fred and his wife (Marianne) lived in Brielle, NJ for over 30 years. During this time, he was an active member in the Brielle Fire Department serving as President in 1971. In 1997, he and his wife moved to Florida to be closer to family. He enjoyed gardening, decorating for the Christmas holidays, and was an avid bowler.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marianne Marrone; daughters: Diana Marrone Bolick and her husband Larry Bolick of South Natick, MA and Carolyn Marrone Strong and her husband William Strong of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons: Fred Marrone and his husband Alp Yurdakul MD of Palm City, FL and Joseph Marrone of Royal Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren: Margaret Ann Bolick, Kristen Strong and Ryan Strong and Khoula Strong, his wife. He is survived by his sister, Beatrice Meli and her husband, Thomas Meli of Wall, NJ. Services are private.

Dear Marrones
Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of wonderful Freddie Marrone. He was a true gentleman and a devoted firefighter. His leadership for the Brielle NJ Fire Department was outstanding and his friendship and dedication will not be forgotten by many.
