Andrew S. Rosinski Sr., 82, formerly of Carteret, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Elizabeth, Andrew lived in Carteret for 46 years before moving to Woodbridge six years ago. Andrew was the former owner/operator of the Andrew S. Rosinski Plumbing and Heating, Carteret for 50 years. He was a plumbing inspector for Perth Amboy from 1984 to 1994, Carteret from 1994 to 2004, and Clark from 2000 to 2009. He was the president of the State League of Master Plumbers for the State of New Jersey in 1980, life member of the State League and Rahway Master Plumbers, Chairman of the Carteret Air Pollution from 1974 to 1976. Andrew was a member of the Divine Mercy Parrish of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church Carteret, the Holy Name Society, and also an usher. He was a 4th degree member of the Carteret Knights of Columbus Father Carey Council and also served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S. Coast Guard.
He is predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Santangelo and her husband Joseph of Colonia; two sons, Andrew B. Rosinski of Carteret, and Robert A. Rosinski of Carteret; a sister, Evelyn Favire; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Joseph, Nicholas, Matthew, Andrew, and Nicole; and his friend, Beverly Statile.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 at Chubenko Funeral Home, 625 Port Reading Ave., Port Reading. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 from the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from the Divine Mercy Parrish of Holy Family R.C.
