Anna Foley Obituary
AGE: 91 • Point Pleasant
Anna V. Foley, 91, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Claremont Care Center in Point Pleasant. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to her parents, Harry and Anna Haley. Anna lived in Middletown and Red Bank before moving to Pt. Pleasant five years ago.
She was a Jewelry Sales Clerk at the Steinbach Department Store in Red Bank for 15 years. Anna was a communicant of St. James Church and was a member of the Blue Belles. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed and remembered by those who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Foley Sr. in 1971; a daughter, Anna M. Foley and three brothers, Robert, John and Harry Foley. Anna is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles J. Jr. and Patsy of Belmar, Dennis and Patricia of Manalapan, and Brian P. and Diane K. of Atlantic Highlands and 7 grandchildren, Jeremy, Tanya, Nicholas, Robert, Kevin, Bridget and Laura.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday May 2, 2014 at St. James R.C. Church in Red Bank. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown. Memorial donations may be made in Anna's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Greater NJ Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07934 or Life Choice, 1415 Hooper Ave., Suite 203, Toms River, NJ 08753 or visit their website at www.lifechoicehospice.com. The Blue Belles remember Anna with Love and smiles. we are the Group from Red Bank YMCA that Anne was a smiling part of for several years. As I write this I can see Anna in Aquatic classes with her clear plastic shower cap protecting her hair do. Also at Friday Coffee talking lovingly of her treasured grand children, whose lives she was taking an active part in while babysitting. Rest in Peace Anna, home at last.
