Anne Q. Gaczynski, of Brick, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, her 87th birthday, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Mrs. Gaczynski was born in Jersey City and raised in Glendale, Long Island. She was also a longtime resident of Iselin, N.J. before moving to Greenbriar II in 1987. She was a 1943 graduate of Bishop McDonald High School in Brooklyn, NY. She was working for Chemical Bank in downtown Manhattan when she met her husband-to-be on a blind-date. After taking time off to raise a family, she re-entered the workplace as a secretary for Exxon/Mobil in Edison, N.J., retiring after many years of service. While in Iselin, she was an active parishioner at St. Cecelia's Church, joining the Choir, and the Altar Rosary Society, (including a term as its President). In Brick, Anne was a 10-year volunteer at Ocean Medical Center. She loved life at Greenbriar II, where she participated in bowling, golf and ceramics, making many friends along the way. She was also an avid reader. She married Dick in 1950. A 50th wedding anniversary celebration, included a Mass offered by Anne's two cousins, who are Catholic priests.

Anne was predeceased by her granddaughter, Cara Beth. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard, her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Anne, and her daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Steven Olochwoszcz, and Jerilyn and Marc Policelli. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Steven, Annemarie, Michael, and Meghan, her great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Marc, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A viewing will be held at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, on Sunday, March 25, 2012, from 2-6p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dominic's Church, Brick, on Monday, March 26, 2012, at 10a.m., followed by interment at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown at 1:00pm.
