Anne Kapushy Obituary
AGE: 86 • Atlantic Highlands
Anne C. Kapushy, 86 of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, NJ. She was born in Woodbury, NJ and resided in southern New Jersey before moving to Atlantic Highlands area in 1953. Mrs. Kapushy was a teacher at the Keyport Central School, Keyport, NJ for over 40 years and retired in 1994. She received her Bachelors degree from Drexel University, Philadelphia in 1951 and her Masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ in 1981. She was also a member of the NJEA.
Mrs. Kapushy was pre-deceased by her husband Albert Kapushy in 2004 and a daughter, Mary Anne Basso in 2005. She is survived by 2 sons, Albert Kapushy and his wife, Estelle of Hazlet, Thomas Kapushy and his wife Stacey of Lancaster, PA, 2 daughters, Janice Tonks and her husband Kevin of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Patricia DeVuyst and her husband Donald of Tequesta, Fla. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Freddy.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be offered on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 10 AM at Holy Family RC Church, Rt. #36 Union Beach, NJ. Donations in her memory may be made to the Popcorn Park Zoo, PO Box 50, Forked River, NJ 08731-0050. Posten's Funeral Home, Atlantic Highlands, is in charge of arrangements.

This is the old (emphasis on "OLD") dishwasher from when you worked at The Peninsula House in Sea Bright, New Jersey. Legacy sent me a reminder about your Mother's passing from five (5) years ago. If you're still living in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I'm here in Pennsylvania also. I'm in Hanover Township, Pa. just outside of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. I will always remember Anne for her impeccable style and intelligence. She was a determined, pragmatic, and loyal woman. I smile when I recall her laughter. I will miss her very much. My condolences to the family for their loss.

My condolences to the Kapushy family. Mrs. Kapushy was my third grade teacher. She was great, and I will never forget her. Her, along with many other great teachers, inspired me to work with children as well. I have spent 20 years of my adult life working in the education field, hoping to create my own legacy. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you Mrs. Kapushy for being one of the best!

So sorry for your loss, she was a wonderful lady and teacher, she helped my son Randy in 4th grade and I believe she is the man today partly to the help and understanding she gave him.

This is for Tom Kapushy if you are the same Tom that worked as a chef at Peninsula House in Sea Bright, New Jersey back in the 1980's. Sorry to hear about your Mom. Was also shocked about the death of Herb Sanderson a few years back. Life isn't fair, but at least your Mom had a long life. My Mom died at only 57 years of age.
