I have know Tony only a few years. He sat at our table at the Monday knight dinners at the IAATO club. We shared food, wine and laughter each of those nights. We often joked how he would take the leftover bread and keep it for the Saturday Morning breakfast that he cooked for the members. It was just a small group that participated but every one marveled at the sausage patties that Tony prepared for the occasion, especially the Hot Ones!

One of the events he ran for the club was the Blue Claws game. He always managed to get the Italian Heritage Night and he would throw the first ball that night. I participated with my grandchildren and always marveled at the happiness he showed for the occasion especially when handed out the presents to the little ones.

One thing for sure he was very proud of his grandchildren. He would always say how smart they all were. As a matter of fact one of his grandchildren wanted him to be at a military graduation and specifically be part of it. He proudly mentioned that occasion many times. He was elated by it.

He told many stories about his Italian upbringing and some of the traditional dishes he cooked around the feast of St Joseph. I am very glad to have known him for the short time that I did. He was a humble war hero and a wonderful family man.

We are going to miss you "Tony The Butcher"

I am very happy to have known him during that short time.

Tony was one of those men you liked as soon as you met him. His strong and firm handshake and Big smile had me at Hello, when I met him for the first time at a Catholic retreat for Men in Malvern Pa. He was with all his buddys, they had been going to the Retreat House together for years. It was an event that he enjoyed and looked forward to every year. No Doubt Tony was prepared for his eternal reward through his dedication to his faith and the Men of Malvern Retreat house. I will make a donation in his name so that He will be remembered by all his friends and recognized in the Malvern rembrance society and benefit spiritually whenever there is a mass. Also I wish and pray for the spiritual comfort of his whole family and most especially for the spiritual comfort and divine guidance for his Grandson Connor who is in the Marines serving his country and following in Poppys footsteps. God speed Tony, rest easy you earned it.
