Anthony Charletta Obituary
AGE: 88 • Toms River
Anthony J. Charletta, 88, of Toms River, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Holiday Care Center in Toms River. Born in Newark, he resided in Union and Clark prior to moving to Toms River in 1997. He was a World War II Navy veteran serving from 1942 to 1945. Anthony enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with his wife and always showed deep affection for his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Luisa Ciarletta; grandson, Dion Charletta; sister, Anna DeMarco; and brother, Michael Charletta. Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Frances Villani Charletta; sons, Ralph and Jessica Charletta of Englishtown, Richard and Teresa Charletta of Toms River, and Anthony and Cheryl Charletta of Katy, TX; brother, Fred and Joan Ciarletta of Belleville; grandchildren, Teresa Margolies, Nicole LaCugna, Richard Charletta, Patrick Charletta, Jacqueline Charletta and Anthony Charletta; 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, Toms River. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
