Barbara Maffei Obituary
AGE: 73 • Toms River
Barbara Louise Maffei, age 73, of Toms River, died Wednesday, June 29 at Hampton Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Toms River. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Iselin prior to moving to Toms River in 1969. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's RC Church, Toms River, where she also taught CCD.
She is predeceased by her parents, Victor and Rose tango. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Maffei; 4 children, Victoria, Richard Jr., Bernadette and Peter and 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Victoria, Ralph and Michael.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9:00am at St. Joseph's RC Church, Toms River. Arrangements are under the direction of "The family Owned" Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River.

Rich and family,
Jane and I are so sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. We will fondly remember you both as wonderful neighbors in Lavallette and as "housemates" in Toms River after hurricane Sandy. Rich, you were always Barbara's cheerleader and best friend and we could tell that you meant the world to each other. You are in our prayers and thoughts.

Love you so much Aunt Barbara. I remember the day I met you. You were taking care of my grandmother who had a stroke and was left paralyzed on her left side. You were so beautiful and gentle with my grandmother who needed serious care and patience, even to me, just a 10-year old at the time. As I grew, your patience and tolerance of waking up to find me just parked in your driveway, is nothing short of saintly. Your patience and tolerance were exceeded only by your wit and smarts. I loved you always. I know you, my mom and grandmother are in heaven, drinking coffee and tea and eating some really good coffee cake. Love Laura
