Barbara Waldeyer Obituary
Manasquan - Barbara Joy Manchee Waldeyer, 80, of Manasquan passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 23, 2021. Barbara was born in New York City on November 26, 1940 to her wonderful parents Mariam and Robert Manchee. She was raised in Spring Lake, NJ where she graduated from H.W. Mountz Elementary School and then Manasquan High School. She graduated from Glassboro College with a degree in Elementary Education in 1962. She was a teacher at Neptune Elementary School where she taught second grade.
Barbara married her childhood sweetheart, William Waldeyer, in August 1962 and resided in Manasquan where she was an active member of the community. She was a member of the Manasquan Woman's Club and an active parishioner of the First Presbyterian Church in Manasquan. Barbara and Bill were the owners of B & B Trophy Plaque Awards and Engraving Company in Spring Lake Heights which was established in 1975. She enjoyed running the business for years and did so until 2010.
Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, William Waldeyer. She is survived by her son Robert and his wife Christine and her daughter Lisa and her husband Andrew Geissler; 7 grandchildren; Joseph, Jessica, Jonathan, Sarah, Alexander, Amanda and Kiersten, who loved their "Mema" dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service 11 am on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery at the corner of Old Bridge Road and Rt. 35 North in Brielle, NJ 08730. In lieu of flowers you may kindly send donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan, 16 Virginia Avenue, Manasquan, NJ 08736. Hello, I was a student of hers in what I think was her first year of teaching in 1962 at Summerfield Elementary School. I was seven. She was a dear soul and all the children loved her including me. My condolences to her family and I'm sure you are missing such a wonderful mother/grandmother.

I was so saddened to hear of Barbara's passing. She was always such a happy, upbeat person to talk with. Her ability to make anyone feel like she has known you forever and truly cares about you, was such a gift. She will be sorely missed. My condolences to her family for the loss of a great lady.
