BARRY MARKOWITZ
AGE: 74 ABERDEEN
Barry Markowitz, 74, of Aberdeen, died Sunday, Oct. 12, at Rahway Hospital, Rahway. Born in Newark, he resided in Aberdeen for the past 45 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Before retiring in 1999, Mr. Markowitz was a self-employed general contractor of Total Home Improvement Corp.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Libby Brown Markowitz; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Markowitz of Perth Amboy, and Jeffery and Kathleen Markowitz of Howell; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle Markowitz of Holmdel, and Susan and Perry Porricelli of Manhattan, N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Jarrid and Shayna, Benjamin, Cody and James.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Interment will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.
