Barry McClain Obituary
AGE: 59 • Manchester
Barry C. McClain, 59, of Manchester, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with cancer. Born on July 9, 1953 in New Brunswick, he lived in Jackson and Manchester most of his life. In 1979, he and his wife, Ginny, settled in Manchester to raise their family. A loving father to his daughters, Christina and Jo Ellen and the best "Pop Pop" in the world to his grandson, Jason "his buddy." He spent much of his past time at Island Beach State Park fishing, enjoying his beach friends, family and his beloved dog, Treasure. He was a dedicated employee for Saker Shoprite for 33 years.
He is predeceased by his brother, Glenn R. McClain Jr. He is survived by his wife of 38 years and his high school sweetheart, "Ginny" McClain; his daughter, Christina McClain and grandchild, Jason P. Downey of Manchester; his daughter, Jo Ellen McClain of Red Bank; two brothers, Gregory and wife Theresa McClain of Jackson, and Doyle and wife Susan McClain of Virginia; and two sisters, Lynn Huppert and her husband Bruce of West Palm Beach, FL, and Cheryl Alonzo of Beachwood. Along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews that he truly loved and adored. He will be sadly missed but never ever forgotten.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's of the Lake, Lakewood, followed by the interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. Condolences can be sent to www.carmonabolenfh.com.

Barry I will never forget meeting you when you first came to work in the Brick Shop-Rite. You were always so kind and showing methe ropes making my job become easier for me. I remrmber when your brother Glenn rebuilt a computer for me with a TV Card in it. You were a great friend to me and my family and I will never forget you, I am very proud to say you were my friend. A loss of a loved one is never easy. May the happy memories ease the pain. I personally did not get to know Barry, but felt as if I've known him for as long as I've known JoEllen and her wonderful stories. Jo, you may have lost your father & best friend but he is forever with you and a part of who you are. You are part of his legacy and I'm sure he couldn't be prouder.
