BENSON E. MCNABB
AGE: 76 WHITING
Benson E. McNabb, 76, of Whiting, Manchester, died Monday, Sept. 15, at home. Born and raised in West Seneca, N.Y., he lived most of his life in Toms River before moving to Whiting in 2008. He worked as a truck driver for over 35 years, first as an owner/operator, then retiring from J.E.T. Charter Services, Jackson. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge 1459, Jackson. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing, painting and was an avid bowler and N.Y. Giants fan.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, in 2006; two brothers, James and John; a sister, Virginia; and a grandson, Johnny Fetherman. Surviving are seven sons and four daughters-in-law, Joseph and Denise Donnelly of Bloomsbury, Mark and Darlene Donnelly of Poconos, Pa., Brian and Marie Donnelly of Philadelphia, Pa., Robert and Karen Donnelly of Italy, currently serving in the U.S. Air Force, Robert Brown, Dwayne Brown, and Eugene Brown; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Kevin Fetherman; a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Albert Tarbous of South Plainfield; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, with a funeral service at 3:30 p.m. at the Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ 08753.
