Blair Davis Obituary

Blair Jay Davis

Keansburg

Blair J. Davis of Keansburg, also known as "Buck~Bean~O"(thanks to his sister Val) joined his beloved mother Ethel and sister Val November 9th 2017.

Blair is survived by his father James, daughter Samantha J. and former wife and friend Kathy.

Graduate of Keansburg high school class of 75' you could always find Blair, Tommy, John or Bobby riding dirt bikes and swimming on Keansburg beach, fishing, surfing and jumping off the bridge down the Hook, hunting ducks at Natco Lake, skeet shooting or driving around town in cool cars, downhill skiing in the winter (black diamond only) with Pete or just hanging at "the shop" with with his Dad modifying engine motors.

At the age of 11, Blair followed in his Father's footsteps racing the "Buck 444 " that Jim built. As a member of the American Power Boat Association he raced up and down the East Coast during the season. Later, Blair's love for racing brought him to motorcycles joining American Motorcycle Association, always bringing home a win and a shiny trophy for Sami.

Blair was a self employed Mechanical Contractor, excellent wood worker and 3rd Generation Plumber always willing to help a friend in the middle of the night with frozen pipes or lack of heat.

Blair's biggest accomplishment was his Daughter Sami J., it was truly the happiest day of his life when she was born. Blair lived life HARD and FAST.

Blair will be deeply missed, knowing he is with Ethel and Val brings family and many friends peace.

Memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Keansburg on December 2nd at 11 AM.

Blair's mom (Ethel) and dad (Jim) took me into their home during summer vacations, when I was young. I treasured the time I had with them. Summer activities consisted of spending time at the Beacon Beach Club and having fun with their clan of friends. Blair was like a little brother, and I enjoyed watching him grow up. I was always amazed how accomplished Blair was at such a young age with anything motorized and challenging. He wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and became a skilled racer. plumber, and creator of wooden artifacts.
He will always be remembered by me as the cutest, impish, energetic, and entertaining young boy i ever knew. In his later life, he and Kate brought their wonderful daughter, Sam, into our lives. I know he regarded her as his finest legacy, and we will always be grateful to him for that.
Peace be with you Blair and to your family --Your Dad Jim, Kate, and Sam. Their comfort comes from knowing you will be embraced by the loving arms of your Mom and Val.
