Carrie M. Nesser

AGE: 88 • Manchester

Carrie M. Nesser, 88, of Manchester, formerly of Little Falls, died Friday, January 4, 2013. Born in Jersey City, Carrie was the daughter of Ralph and Rose Migliore and married Joseph Nesser in 1944. Carrie was a secretary for Dell Publishing in Pine Brook before retiring and moving to Manchester. She and her husband also owned and managed Town and Country Travel in Fairfield until selling the business in the early 1980s. While living in Manchester, Carrie was very active with the Leisure Knoll Italian American Club and the Organ Club. She was a parishioner at St. John's in Manchester. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and her favorite hobby, playing bingo.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Marilyn Koziol and her husband John of Kinnelon, and Janet DeSantis and her husband Philip of San Diego, CA; her sister, Madelyn Fuhro; her sister-in-law, Lorraine Migliore; her grandchildren, Victoria Koziol, Carrie DeSantis, and Victor DeSantis and his wife Dawn; her great-grandchild, Maxwell DeSantis; her nephews, Brian Fuhro and his wife Cyndy, Gregory Migliore and David Migliore, and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, and her brother, Ferdinand Migliore.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Magnificat Church, Kinnelon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. at the Anderson Campbell Funeral Home, Manchester, and on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. www.scanlanfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated by Carrie's family.
