Charlie's name often comes up during get-togethers with long-time Matawan friends during our memory-lane wanderings. His name always evokes smiles, and a bit of wistfulness too because he is still missed.

Although many years have passed since being in his company, Charlie will always be remembered among his old Matawan pals with much affection and gratitude for knowing him.

Growing up we make friends, some you never forget, some you want to forget, and some you wish you never met, Charlie was the kind you will never forget, top notch personality who was loved by all that knew him. Charlie was the life of the party no matter where he went. Think of Charlie, oh yea, all the time!! Thank you Charlie for your friendship and all the great memories my friend.

I still think of Charlie even after so many years. Love goes out to his spirit from me, as well as from the many others who were fortunate to know him.

All of Charlie's old-time friends from the early Matawan days (high school, etc.) remember him with great, deep affection -- and now a crushing sadness with the news of his passing. Charlie was such a good-natured guy with a ready smile and a bit of mischief at the slightest provacation. I recall his cheerful demeanor, charm and fun-loving nature -- along with a generous hunk of hair that seemed to extend the height of his head a few inches. My last opportunity to share Charlie's company occurred at the July 1996 50th birthday reunion at the former Joe Pepp's in Matawan. It was a treat to listen to him and other long-time pals swapping memories and singing doo-wop again. We really missed him at our reunion in 2009. Charlie easily brightened the life of everyone he encountered. All of us who adored him will always keep his joyous influence in our hearts and memories.

For those who knew Charley, could only define him as NOBLE! His love of Music was second to none, and his talents were beyond explanation. A Hero he was to his Daughter, and to fall in love with Charley he made so easy. "Grab a Beer, turn up the Radio, and relax my friend", you have earned it!! You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Your world has become my treasure, and for that I will never be able to thank you enough. "Mr. Blue", signing off folks. We Love You!!
