Charles Damian Obituary
AGE: 72 • Old Bridge
Deacon Charles J. Damian Jr., 72, of Old Bridge, entered into eternal rest at his home on December 10, 2013. Deacon Charlie was born on April 26, 1941 in Albany, NY to the late Charles Sr. and Rose Damian. Since 1970, he was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Old Bridge where he served as a lector prior to his ordination as a Deacon in 1994.
Along with his responsibilities as a Deacon, he taught RCIA, Adult Confirmation and instructed altar servers. Deacon Charlie was also involved in the St. Ambrose Youth Group, Finance Committee and was Cub Master of Troop 129. A member of the Knights of Columbus, Deacon Charlie started in the 1960's at the Baron DeKalb Council in Brooklyn before becoming a Chaplain with the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus, where he was a life member.
Along with his career as a Computer Programmer/ Analyst at Time Warner, Hess and M&M Mars, Deacon Charlie was also an avid coin collector, Little League baseball coach, sports fan, web surfer and handyman.
Deacon Charlie was a loving husband of 43 years to his wife, Elaine; a devoted father to his children, Jennifer and Jeff Osborne, of Spotswood, Charles III and Bonnie Damian, of Brick, Casey and Robert Panebianco, of Morganville and Christopher and Colleen Damian, of Eatontown.
"G-Pa" also leaves his grandchildren Jeffrey and Sarah Osborne; Bobby and Ryan; Christian, Gabriella and Valentina Panebianco. Deacon Charlie is survived by his sister, Judith and Umberto Garistina, of Melville, NY and brother, Jon and Betsy Damian, of Cambridge, MA. He will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 2-6 p.m. at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 CR 516, Old Bridge NJ 08857. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church in Old Bridge, NJ. Final disposition will be held privately.

Casey and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your fathers/husband passing. I have fond memories of him when I was at your house or even when he would pick us up or drop us off somewhere throughout hs. No words can ease the pain but know he will always be with all of yous. Hold onto all the love and memories eventually that will help ease the pain. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
