Charles Nezgod Obituary
AGE: 60 • Berkeley Twp.
Charles K. Nezgod, Jr. "Charlie," age 60, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at his home in Holiday City, Berkeley. Born in Newark, he resided in Linden, Westfield and Mountainside throughout his school years and then the family moved to Lavallette. There Charlie enjoyed his favorite things, fishing, surfing and being a lifeguard, nickname "Charlie Tuna." He graduated from St. Benedicts Prep, Newark and attended Ocean County College. He was a member of the Carpenters Union building Great Adventure in Jackson. He then started his own business, CKN Construction, where he enjoyed working on the island from Pt. Pleasant to Seaside Park. Charlie had many good and loyal customers throughout the years. He was a talented and gifted builder with a great knowledge of his craft.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frances and Charles K. Nezgod, Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra and husband Derek Peins and their children, Christian, Brandon and Alexandra; his daughter, Christine Nezgod and her children, Jada and RJ. Also a sister, Nancy Kasper and her husband Arthur of Pine Beach.
Services are private and under the direction of DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, Lakehurst.
