AGE: 57 • Barnegat
Cheri L Herbert (nee Tomaszewski), age 57 of Barnegat passed away on Sunday December 22, 2013 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin. Cheri was born in Lakewood and had lived in Brick before moving to Barnegat in 1986. She was a 1974 graduate of Brick High School, and had worked as a school bus driver for Southern Regional School District, Manahawkin, for 7 years. Cheri loved to cook, garden and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and playing with her 2 dogs Sage and Tork.
Cheri is survived by her husband of 28 years, James R, two daughters, Jessica and Krista both of Barnegat, and her Mother Nellie Tomaszewski, of Brick.
A viewing will be held on Thursday December 26, from 2 - 4 pm and 7 pm until the time of service at 8:30 pm at the Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 335 South Main Street (Rt. 9), Barnegat, NJ 08005.

My family lived across the street from Cheri and her family on Birchwood Dr. We were the same age and even had our birthdays in the same month. She was a little spitfire with a big smile and bigger heart. Please send my deepest condolences to Nellie.

Cheri as a truly beautiful person. I had the privelage of working with her in the bus yard at Southern Regional. I don't know if we were related at all, but I called her cousin anyway. Despite her diminutive size she had immense strength. You will be sorely missed. ((Hugs)) See you on the other side.
