Dear McKenna and Gerrard Families,

Chris and I go way back to Infant Jesus grammar school,we went to different high schools, but reunited and graduated St. Vincent's Hospital school of Nursing together. We even had a joint graduation celebration, as our parents were good friends too.
Though Chris' passing was a great loss, I hope all of you will find comfort in knowing she was loved and respected by many, and her memory will live on in our hearts.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Most Sincerely,

Peter & Carol Basini

Dear McKenna Family:

I went to Grammer school with Christine at Infant Jesus too many years ago to remember. Christine was always a sweet and kind girl and from what I read, it carried her through her entire life.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at such a sad time in your lives.

May God watch over you and give you comfort.

What a wonderful life you and Chris had together. Raising two great kids and all the joys and happiness that comes with being a loving family. Although I couldn't be there my heart was with all of you and I was thinking happy thoughts about Chris's life she shared with all of us. I hope to visit as soon as I am well. With much love, Nancy

Dear Ed & Family,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember seeing Chris at charity events and thinking "I never saw such beautiful blue eyes" . I appreciated her friendly greeting and pretty smile.

I remember the 180 Charity Dinner honoring you and Chris. You placed an ad in the Journal with a picture of your family expressing gratitude. I was so touched by the sweetness of the picture. I thought the gesture spoke volumes about the "Loving McKenna Family"

Reading about Chris and how much she loved to cook gourmet meals for her extended family and friends and her passion for travel makes me wish I had known her better.

I pray that God grant you peace, strength and comfort in the love of one another, your extended family and your friends. Ronni Davis. Freehold, New Jersey

I am so saddened by the news Jennifer gave me about your Wife. I am Jen's Mom and know how devastating it is to lose someone you love so very much. I lost my Mom and brother this past 2 years and my brother lost the battle to a very long period of chemo and suffered a great deal for almost two years. I understand she did live a truly courageous life and did almost everything she wanted to in her short life.
My sincere condolences to you and the family.
