Stan Boguszewski

Stan Boguszewski passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Valley Hospital in Paramus. He had been in the hospital for eight days, attended to by family and friends, including his step-daughter, Magdalena, who was by his side when he passed. He is also survived by his sister, Anna, his brother, Andrew, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Stan was born in Czerne, Poland, on January 26, 1941. He was the son of Kazimierz Boguszewski and Adelaide Boguszewska (nee Dobek). Stan lost his father in 1944 when Kazimierz was arrested and taken to a Soviet work camp. Stan and his siblings were then raised by their mother in Gdynia, on the Baltic Coast. They stayed there until the family emigrated to the United States in 1958 and settled in Newark, New Jersey.

Stan graduated from high school in Poland and took courses at Hunter College in New York City. He served in the United States Army for two years, during which time he was stationed in Germany. He returned to the States and worked for a time in Pennsylvania before returning to New Jersey to join his sister and brother-in-law at their fledgling company, CIS. Stan stayed with CIS for many years, through its acquisition by Beckman Industries. He was ultimately able to take an early retirement and live off his investments and a later-developed passion for stock trading.

While at Hunter College, Stan met Monika Pindor. They married in 1980 and remained together for 40 years, until her death in 2020.

Stan was a passionate man with many hobbies. He was an accomplished amateur photographer, collector, and an avid outdoorsman who hunted and fished throughout his life. He loved cars and was particularly attached to a Porsche 911, which he raced and tinkered with for years. Stan also loved dogs, particularly Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, though his last dog was an Airedale, a breed which he knew his own father had loved.
Stan was a loving and loyal member of his family. He was a devoted husband, sibling, and uncle. Above all, he was a loyal and loving father to his step-daughter, Magdalena.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 29,2026 12pm -3pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff ,NJ 07481.A Funeral Mass is planned for Monday March 30,2026 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1 Passaic Street Ridgewood, NJ 07450.Interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ
