Craig B. Whitman, Sr.

AGE: 62 • Brick

Craig B. Whitman, 62, of Brick, passed away on November 20, 2012 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Newark to the late Harold W. and Christine Turner Whitman, Craig spent most of his life in Roselle Park, moving to Brielle in 1992, and then to Brick about 5 years ago. Mr. Whitman was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers' International Association, Local Union No. 137 and the owner and operator of Whitman Crane, Inc. Craig was a hard worker who enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Beth in 1998. Surviving are his loving children, Jason Whitman, Craig Whitman and wife Carley, and Jessica Whitman, his cherished granddaughter Mary Beth, and many extended family and friends.

A prayer service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Manasquan United Methodist Church, 23 Church Street, Manasquan. Memorial contributions may be made in Craig's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1035 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753. So,shocked to hear of Craigs passing, to young! I can remember when we were really young, he would bring his model cars to my parents house, and we would crash our models together, and then take matches and light them on fire, as if they caught on fire in a car accident. Boy, were my folks mad, trying to scrape the melted plastic off the front walkway, just an old memory of crazy things we did.

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Craig. He was a great friend and wonderful family man. We will miss him greatly.
