To The Forrest Family,

My condolences to each and everyone of you. Dan was an amazing son, brother, friend, worker and most of all Father.

He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.

To Dean, you were the pride and joy of his life, he loves you so much and is so proud of you. Remember, he is watching over you and will guide you during your days ahead.

Dan was funny, hard working, hopeless romantic and loyal. I remember the first time I met Dan, I seen two bulldogs on his Seaside house, and ran over to them. I was in love with his dogs. Yes, we became friends over Bulldogs. lol.

From that and Hogan, as I was a huge fan of him and loved the, WWE, classic car talks, to arguing with people at places what U2 song was the best, Dan and I are right, "Where the Streets Have No Name", to the biggest AFC conference upset with our Jets to the Steelers, We were in a depression for a month. We really thought they were going to a Superbowl.

As, we went over what the Jets need to do, players to trade, etc. He always made me laugh. Dan always knew, where there is food or dogs, there was Mary.

There is so many fond memories of him. Rest In Peace Dan. We will all miss you. To his parents, thank-you, for Dan. He has lightened so many peoples lives in different ways.

When I first moved here in 2003 Dan was the first person to reach out to me as a friend. Genuine person. When I had no a friend here, he stepped up and asked me if I'd like to hang out. After losing most my friends in NY, Dan saw I was a bit lonely and had the heart to ask a stranger to hang out and show me around. We began good friends, hung out many times, attended a Jets Pats NFL game together. He made me feel not to sad about leaving my old home and entering this completely different world here in NJ. IF ANYONE COULD GET BACK TO ME AND LET ME KNOW IF HE IS BEING CREMATED OR BURIED AND THE NAME OF THE CEMETERY, ID APPRECIATE IT. ID RATHER PAY MY RESPECTS ALONE, SO I MAY TALK TO HIM, BECAUSE I KNOW HE HEARS ME. THERE IS A HEAVEN, AND I KNOW DANS THERE. KNOWING HIM HIS FIRST QUESTION TO THE ANGELS WAS "Do they show NFL games up here?" That's Dan! I know genuine people are rare, Dan was one of the rare.
He'd help you in any way possible. I can't say that for many. Although we lost touch over the years, I'm so glad I saw you months back in the OC MALL. It was like God gave me a chance to see you one more time.
I ask that when you drive on the highway or anywhere....think of Dan. He'd want you to be alert and safe. God Bless Mr. & Mrs. Forrest who I know are suffering. I still have our ticket stubs from our game. I'll cherish them. WATCH OVER US ALL DAN. I MISS YOU. I LOVE YOU. I KNOW I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN ONE DAY. PRAISE JESUS. LOVE, AL J. SIMENDINGER

To The Forrest Family,
I have no words but only pain in my heart for your loss. Daniel was such a loving soul who has given everyone he has met such a special remembrance. We will deeply miss him. May God heal your heart and the moments you will miss his loving soul. May God always protect his son Dean and guide him in all his directions as he misses his dad. Walk on Daniel with your beautiful soul, rest in the lord my friend.

Love always,
