Dear Loretta and Family I just learned of David's passing. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I met David 21 years ago when I came to work for the Union Company I am still working with. He was so kind to help me and encourage me to stick with my new job. He gave me my first opportunity to work with his membership. I will never forget him and I am deeply saddened that I have just learned of his passing. We always shared stories of our grandchildren, he loved them so much. He was a great man. I know he will truly be missed by everyone that had the good luck to know him.

With my deepest sympathy to the family of David Briggs. Dave was the BA for my husband, Walter, who passed away in August of 2009. My fondest memory of Dave was one time he called our house when my husband first went into the Local 155 and asked "Is this Walter's mother?" I stated NO HIS WIFE. That was a joke between Dave & I.
With our Deepest Sympathy,

Mrs. Briggs, Tony, Lisa, Lori & Jessica: He was a great man and I am glad that I had the opportunity to grow up across the street from you and share most of the life of this man. For me 42 years might as well be a lifetime. He was a true inspiration to all of us as well as all that knew him. I have many fond memories of our families together which I will cherish for a lifetime. May you guys find the strength and peace over the next few days to get through this difficult time.
I may be 3000 miles away, but you are all in my thoughts, prayers and heart during this difficult time.
My love to you all

To all of the family and friends that loved david. c. briggs as he would always answer the phone at the hall that always made me chuckle and smile at him;may his smiles and warm memories last you all a lifetime. As my buisiness agent, dave always had a fondness for joking with me but stayed stern to keep me in the right direction, trusted me as a representative of our hall and was a warm embracing man when my family met loretta and him when they came to visit me here in nj. He always looked out for me .Was there for me when my father passed of cancer 3 years ago.my wishes he meet my father in heaven. im sure the'll have stories to trade and laugh about . God bless all close to him. i as well will miss his presence!!!!!

Dear Loretta & Family, please accept my heartfelt sympathy in David's passing- I got to know him while visiting my son in NJ and attending the clambakes. He was introduced to me by my son, Scott, who worked for David (and loved him)and his local. Every year since, I have received a Christmas card from he and Loretta. Scott gave me the sad news of his illness and then once again, of his passing. I am deeply saddened. Please know I will be covering your family in prayer for God to wrap His arms around you in the days ahead and sustain you through memories. I'll always remember his jolly demeanor, congeniality and outgoing personality. Godspeed David.
