I knew your Dad from work for many years ... he worked for a long time with me at I2WD and the forerunner of it EW/RSTA ... he was always fun to work with and a very nice person ... his 'grumpiness' was just his way of acting to fool you lol. My condolences to his family.

David was the mysterious and reserved older cousin that I only saw once a year when we would drive the long eight-hour trip from Connecticut to visit our Grandfather in Morgan Vermont each summer. I loved his parents, Lois and George dearly. In recent years, his emails, jokes and stories came on a regular basis and I felt that I got to know him better through these communications. I respect his service to our country and greatly appreciate this well-written obituary. I send caring, best wishes to Sylvia and the rest of his family.
With love, Katherine Martin Widmer

I will remember my cousin David for his humor, wit and genius and pride in his family. I will miss our many e-mails, little gifts of books, a rubber cobra and a fluffy Mongoose to name but a few. You will live on David in everyone who knew you. I did so appreciate his friendship.
