DERECK LAMONT DRISDOM JONES
Dereck Lamont Drisdom Jones, passed Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010.
Predeceased by his parents, Billie and Shirley Jones; and grandparents, Roy and Dillie Chapman; and nephews, Charles Russell and Robert Chavis Jr. Mr. Jones is survived by his brothers, Charles w. Drisdom Jr., Lamont and La Alfonzo Jones; sisters, Zelda R. Chavis (Robert) and Veronica Drisdom; nieces, Heidi Bennett, Whitney Drisdom, Jeni Jones, Rachel Hudson, Monet Jones; nephews, Richard and Rodney Chavis.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Judkins Colonial Home, Plainfield. Condolences www.judkinscolonialhome.com.

Just remembering...I just saw my uncle Dereck a few months ago in the month of July waiting for the bus heading to work. I never imagined that it would be my last time seeing him! My prayer is that our family will cherish the times that we spend together and live each day as it was our last. Life is like the wind...its here and then it gone. I love you uncle Dereck!

Well -- our brother, Dereck, has passed away. God saw his situation and his troubled heart and called him home. We will miss him and remember to get our comfort from knowing he's in no more pain and that he is in a better place. We'll miss you, Dereck, and will always love you. See you when we get there....
