AGE: 86 • Toms River
Dominic M. Cordi, 86, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ passed away on Wednesday October 5, 2016 in New York City, NY. Dominic was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Pt. Pleasant, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp., NJ 16 years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War . He had worked for Lionel Trains in Newark, NJ before he became self employed as a carpenter in the NJ area. Dominic is predeceased by his parents Dominic and Christine (Montalbo) Cordi and his siblings Anthony, George, Mario, Christopher, Yolanda, Rose, Theresa, Angelina and Rita.
Surviving is his wife Florence (Masino) Cordi; his children Dominic A. Cordi and his wife Nicki Ann of Toms River, NJ, Camille Cordi-Payne and her husband Thomas of Toms River, NJ and Joseph G. Cordi and his wife Jennifer of Brick, NJ; his brother James Cordi and his wife Rose of Newark, NJ; his grandchildren Leana Paynter and her husband Anthony, Dominic, Joseph and Matthew , his great grandson Anthony and also many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday October 9, 2016 from 4-8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday October 10, 2016 at 10:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church Berkeley Twsp., NJ. Entombment will follow to Ocean County Memorial Park Toms River, NJ. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneral home.com.
