At the time, Doris was working for Justice Alvin Schlesinger and I was his
Law Secretary. Doris was not only efficient at her job, but she showed herself to be a wonderfully caring and pleasant person with anyone she came into contact with ! Doris Antonas is sadly missed.

I just found out about Doris' death. I wondered why I did not get her usual early Christmas card, went online and discovered this. I worked at 60 Centre St NYC with Doris for many years. I was a young, energetic lawyer as opposed to being an old , tired lawyer. Words cannot not express how I loved Doris. She always had a smile on her face and always looked at the bright side of life. She will be forever in my heart and memory. And she often talked about her family and expressed the love she had for them. My deepest condolences to all.

I have very fond memories of Doris in Kearny and at Kearny High School, as well as Avon-by-the-Sea. The whole Antonas family were wonderful and loving and will miss Doris very much. My husband, Ron and I send our thoughts to you.

I belately express my sincerest thoughts to Doris' family. Since retirement, the years distance all of us, but we think of each other now and then, "where is she; what is she doing. . . ". I was sadden to hear of her passing; wondering whether she smiled her way into paradise or did she struggle her way to that soft light we all look for at our end. But, knowing her commitment to friends and family, I'm sure she was not alone; indeed, she was surrounded by love. I only wished I got to see her one last time...... love you for the years you made me smile and laugh. Fondly, Louis.

We will greatly miss our dear, dear friend, Doris, who inspired many of us with her extreme caring for - and devotion to - her wonderful family (including her precious Cassie Sue) and friends. She will always be our Sterling Avenue angel. Like the brightest star in the sky, she will shine on Lavallette--and in our hearts--forever.
