AGE: 86 • Forked River
Edith Carson (nee Murphy), 86, of Forked River, on Nov. 13, 2011. Edith was born in Sag Harbor, NY, she resided in Kearny and Toms River before moving to Forked River. She worked for John's Bargain Store in Newark.
Edith was predeceased by her husband Micheal J. Carson in 1997. She is survived by 2 sons Michael (Regina) of Lanoka Harbor & Ronald (Evelyn) of Forked River; daughter Jill Carson of Forked River; 3 grandchildren Michael, Robert & Greg and 4 great grandchildren Christopher, Emma, Abigail & Charlotte. Visitation Tuesday 2pm until the service at 5pm at the Growney Funeral Home 1022 Lacey Rd. Forked River, NJ. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Pop Corn Park Zoo 1 Humane Way Forked River, NJ 08731.

Jill and the family I am so sorry for your loss. She was a second MOM to me. Every time I cook a turkey I think of her. She gave me a recipe I use to this day. She was always good to me and I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I know she is cooking for God now. Lots of love to you all.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Aunt Edie's death. My siblings and I always looked forward to our twice yearly visits to see her in NJ while we were growing up. Our condoleces go out to Mike, Ronnie, Jill and their families. May the Lord give them peace as they grieve the loss of their loving mother.
