Sea Girt
Edith Audrey Dunn, of Sea Girt, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at her home. Born to Harold and Edith (Van Schoick) in Middletown, NJ.
She was an artist who worked with oil paints and chalk. She was a wonderful seamstress, gardener and cook who was famous for her delicious pies. Audrey was known for her impeccable taste and sense of style, but above all she was a woman who dedicated her entire life to her family and she did so with great enthusiasm. She made Christmas magical and memorable for her whole family with unending shopping, wrapping, decorating and cooking. Audrey worked as a secretary for the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, where she met the love of her life, her husband Art. She was a faithful member of The Church of St. Uriel the Archangel where she was a Sunday school teacher and longtime member of the Altar Guild. She was also an active member of the Governor William Livingston Chapter of DAR where she served as Corresponding Secretary. She was an adored mother and grandmother who was always ready to lend a helping hand or a sympathetic ear. Audrey loved to travel all over to watch her grandchildren compete in a variety of sports. The love she had for her family was unsurpassed. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Mrs. Dunn was predeceased by her husband Arthur J., parents Harold and Edith Bennett and brother, Walter Bennett. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lynn Dunn of Sea Girt and, Loren Pace and her husband Thomas of Sea Girt; brother, Harold Bennett Jr.; Three beloved grandchildren, Ashley Purohit and her husband Ketan, Ryan and Lindsay; great grandchildren and Keira and Keegan Elizabeth Purohit.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11am at The Church of St. Uriel the Archangel in Sea Girt. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Middletown, NJ.
The Neary-Quinn Funeral Home in Manasquan is in charge of arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Audrey!s passing. I know how devastating and final a loss like this can be after recently loosing my wife. It affects your emotions for a very long time. I thought the crying was over after loosing Kathy but times like this get me started all over again. But we have to be strong and carry on as our loved ones would have wanted. With all my love,
