Edna M Levens

AGE: 87 • Manchester

Edna M Levens 87 of Manchester died Monday August 6th at home. She worked as a Microbiologist Assistant for 30 years before retiring in 1992 from Berlex Laboratories in Wayne. Born in Jersey City she resided in Lincoln Park for 40 years before moving to Manchester in 1993. She was a communicant of St John's Church, Lakehurst. She was a member of the Players Club, Red Hat Society, Card Club, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Bocce Ball in Leisure Village West. She enjoyed painting and cooking. She also was a member of the Lincoln Park Firehouse #2 Ladies Auxiliary. She is predeceased by her son, Robert J Jr in 1965 and her husband Robert J in 2001. Surviving is her daughter, Patricia Scherzer of Pompton Plains, a sister, Helen Post of Manchester and 2 granddaughters, Kelly and Lauren Scherzer. Visitation is Wednesday 2-4 PM with a 3:30 pm service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of NJ 40 Bey Lea Rd Suite A202 Toms River, NJ 08753.
