AGE: 49 • Jackson

Edward Patrick, 49, of Jackson, died suddenly at home. As a true friend to many, Eddie will be remembered for his warmth and spirit, and will live in our hearts forever. Eddie received his Masters Degree in education from George Mason University, and spent several years in education. He and his wife, Annie have been the owners/operators of a Fun Bus franchise in Jackson.

Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Annie (Gallagher); a cherished son, Edward Anthony Patrick; his devoted parents, Arlene (Ehlers) and Edward Leach of Sayreville; adoring sister, Karen Flanagan and nephews, Daniel and Michael Flanagan; mother-in-law, Barbara B. Gallagher; and a host of Gallagher, Serafino, Revel, Winter, and Walsh families.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 until the services at 8 p.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, 857 Kennedy Blvd., Bayonne. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers and Mass cards, donations may be made to the Edward Anthony Patrick Education Fund, c/o Sweeney Funeral Home.

Annie, I am so very sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I have thought about you a lot and when Vinny told me of Eddie's passing I had to find a way to contact you and let you know that you are thought of often and are not alone. Eddie will always be looking over you and Little Eddie.

Annie...What is there really to say? Life just isnt fair sometimes. Eddie was a great guy. I am sorry I didnt find out until yesterday. Nick and i will continue to pray for you and little Eddie. Eddie with his great sense of humor was always cracking us up. This past Halloween he patiently waited on the sidewalk while Little Eddie & friends ran to my door. While I was handing out candy, Big Eddie called out: "I like your butterfly wings. Can I borrow them?"
