AGE: 82 • Manchester
Eleanor Waszak 82 of Manchester died Thursday September 8, 2016 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Paterson, she resided in Staten Island for 50 years before moving to Manchester in 2004. She worked as an Office Manager for several doctors in the Staten Island Area before retiring. She was a parishioner of St Adalbert's Church, Staten Island and St John's Church Lakehurst. She enjoyed her trips to her summer home in PA for 30 years and her occasional trips to Atlantic City. She loved to bake especially for her grandchildren and great grandson. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward "Eugene" in 2011, son, Michael A in 1958 and grandson Theodore John Pomianowski in 2004. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Christine and Edward & Margaret of Hawley, PA, daughter, Karen Giehl of Staten Island, brothers, Edward & Chester and sisters, Irene , Sophie, Stella and Alice, 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Christian, Eric, Kayla & Jessica and 1 great grandson, Owen. Visitation is Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Monday 9:30 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at Brigadier Gen C Doyle NJ Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St John's Church 619 Chestnut St Lakehurst, NJ 08733.
