Ella F. Crowley, 89, of Brick, entered eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Newark and raised her family in Belleville before retiring to Brick.

She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Crowley. She is survived by her two sons, John T. Crowley of Brick, and Steven D. Crowley of Nutley; her brother, Jim D. Bloom of Conyers, GA; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Ella loved her many pets over the years.

Ella graduated one year early from Belleville High School. She enjoyed public speaking and worked in the financial field for many years, most recently as a tax consultant with H&R Block. She was an avid genealogist, loved birding, was active with the Brick Senior Citizens Club, treasurer of the Breton Woods Swim Club, loved to travel, and loved her Yorkies. She enjoyed a spirited conversation, sitting by the River or going out to dinner, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA in her memory would be appreciated.
