Eric Caposele Obituary
AGE: 22 • Lavallette
Eric J. Caposele, 22, of Lavallette, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, North Brunswick. Born in Red Bank, Eric was raised in Lavallette. He graduated from Lavallette Elementary School and Point Pleasant Beach High School in 2007. He spent his first year of college in Colorado and continued his studies at Ocean County College. Eric enjoyed fishing, surfing, snowboarding and art. He will be remembered for his creativity, spirit and compassion. Eric leaves behind his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Zawacki. Eric is survived by his mother, Kim Atno and her husband Steven of Lavallette. Eric is also survived by his father, Edward Caposele Jr. and his wife Denise of Lacey; his maternal grandmother, Margarette Zawacki; and his paternal grandparents, Edward Sr. and Lucy Caposele. Eric leaves behind three loving brothers, John and David Caposele and Alex Atno. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. Committal is private. An art scholarship fund for Point Pleasant Beach High School will be set up in Eric's memory. In lieu of flowers, please make donations towards the scholarship, which may be sent to the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River, NJ 08753, c/o Kim Atno. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.

My condolences to all of Eric's friends and family. I will always remember Eric in my class as one who could frustrate me one moment and could have me laughing in the next moment. I will always remember how he could bring laughter to the entire class like the day he left for the restroom and came back with a huge rubbermaid container. How random! He carried it in as if it was the pass and continued to his seat with that gleam in his eye and a big smile on his face. You never knew what to expect! My hope is that we will all remember Eric this way and that he will continue to bring smiles to our faces in the memories we share! Rest in peace.

Eric, your smile could brighten anyone's day as it did mine so many times. Your cheery, caring, and positive attitude is what I admired most about you. Although you are gone, the memories and good times we shared together will stay with me always. Eric, I watched you grow up, running around our house & the streets of Lavallette, being annoying,fighting with me, but always trying to get me & Joey to STOP fighting. Haha.. I have a plethora of memories from years of having you as not only a friend, but another brother. What I wanted you to know was that I watched you grow up from this little boy into a much respected, caring, smart man with a huge heart.
