AGE: 74 • Lakewood
Eugene Cautillo, 74, of Lakewood N.J. passed away on Monday, August 7, at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Cautillo or "Gene" was born in Elizabeth, NJ and later moved to Linden, NJ with his wife Yvonne where they resided for almost 40 years. While there, he was employed as a vice president mortgage banker for 30 years. Gene owned a restaurant business, Essex Bar and Grill, with his father Alfonso Cautillo. He was an active member of St Vladimir's church/school and The Knights of Columbus in Linden.
After moving to Lakewood in 2000, Gene continued his dedication to citizenship and joined several organizations in the Lakewood community. He was an Active New Jersey Planning Official, served on the Township Transportation Advisory Board, and held many board positions at Lion's Head Woods.
Gene was predeceased by his parents Alfonso and Anna Cautillo, and his brother Alfonso.
Surviving are his wife Yvonne (nee Phillips), his son Eugene Jr., daughter Dawn Cautillo Ryalls and her husband Christopher and his cherished grandchildren Dominique Lily and Christian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, August 10 at Silverton Funeral Home in Toms River, NJ from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday 9:30am at the Church of the Visitation RC Church, Brick. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery Linden. www.silvertonmemorial.com.
