Eugene Ryerson Obituary
EUGENE W. RYERSON
AGE: 86 TOMS RIVER
Eugene W. Ryerson, 86, of Toms River died Thursday, Oct. 30. Mr. Ryerson previously resided in Northport, N.Y. and was retired from the Singer Co. after 40 years of service. He served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II and saw action being on one of the first boats landing during the Normandy Invasion.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Catherine Ryerson, also of Toms River; daughter Christine and her husband, Kevin Guttinger, of Long Island, N.Y.; sons, Steven and his wife, Lynda, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; Kenneth and his wife, Joan, of Long Island, N.Y; grandchildren, Kevin and James Guttinger, Susan Cole, Stacey Davis, Carissa McElwee and Jenna, Kendra and Gene Ryerson; and one great-grandchild, Connor Davis.
A memorial service for Mr. Ryerson will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9 at the chapel of Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Duluth, Ga.
