FRANCES LYKOSH
AGE: 87 PERTH AMBOY
Frances Lykosh, 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at J.F.K. Haven Hospice, Edison. Born in Poland, she lived in Perth Amboy since 1959. She was a communicant of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, Perth Amboy and a member of its Senior Citizen and a Pirogy lady. She was a nurses aide at Perth Amboy General Hospital and retired in 1986.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1997; and a grandson, Ronnie Tampa, in 2006. She was the beloved mother of Walter Lykosh of Bayville, Joseph Lykosh of Florida, Luba Bonczek of Beachwood, Christine Palmer of Iselin, Sophia Czerepka of Florida, and Stacia La Rosa of Matawan; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, with Parastas services at 7:30 p.m. at the Zylka Funeral Home, 513-515 State St., Perth Amboy. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Divine Liturgy in Ukrainian Catholic of the Assumption Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 508 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN.
