Fred Muselli, passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at home with his loving family. Born in Newark, he is a former resident of Englewood and Point Pleasant before moving to Brick 10 years ago. During the depression as a teenager, he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. working to clear fire paths in forests in Oregon and Washington. Mr. Muselli was an Army Air Force veteran serving in World War II. Fred worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Newark for 25 years, during that time he was State President of Special Delivery of the American Postal Workers Union. He is a communicant of St. Martha's R.C. Church, Point Pleasant. Fred was an off Broadway Play Actor at La MaMa's Play House and most notably performing in "The Moon Dreamer". He enjoyed horse racing, roulette, and most of all spending quality time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Giovanni and Giovanina Muselli; his five sisters, Carmela, Philomina, Nellie, Elizabeth, and Anita; and his three brothers, Gerard, Carmine, and Joseph. Surviving are his beloved wife of 42 years, Mary T. Muselli (nee Kimble); his cherished son, Frederick Muselli and wife Min Soo; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at St. Martha's R.C. Church, Point Pleasant. Interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
