Georganne Baldwin Obituary
AGE: 67 formerly of Sea Girt
Georganne "Jan" Grace Harris Baldwin, 67, formerly of Sea Girt, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at home in Venice, Fla. She was born Nov. 18, 1943 in Providence, R.I. to the late George A. and Ellyce C. Harris, also of Sea Girt. She graduated from Manasquan High School in 1961, and Berkeley Secretarial School in 1964. She was a personnel secretary at American Can and Glass Co., and executive secretary for Midland Glass Co., both in Cliffwood. The Baldwin family later moved back to Sea Girt for 17 years living on Chicago Blvd.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Baldwin, Venice, Fla.; her two children, Christina (William) Metzler, San Diego, Calif., and John L. (Noreen) Baldwin, Waikoloa HI; a brother, Arthur O. (Ellen) Harris, Middletown; three grandchildren, John Murtha, Alexis Metzler, and Thomas Baldwin; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Ernst (John) Toms River, Dolores Harris, Manasquan, and Jane Harris, Sea Girt. She was predeceased by brothers, Lee A. and Barry C. Harris.
She was a dedicated homemaker, an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, decorating, gardening and cruising the intercoastal waterway in the warm Florida sun. She was loved by all of her family and will be greatly missed.
Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Manasquan, NJ, at a date to be determined and communicated. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
