George A. Roe

AGE: 90 • Lincroft

George A. Roe, 90, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at home. He was born in Revere, MA and resided in Lincroft for the past 44 years. George was retired from Bell Labs in Holmdel and proudly served his country in the United States Army as a staff sergeant. He was involved with the ARC Association.

George is predeceased by his parents and his wife of 49 years Bertha M. Roe. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his five children, Denny Roe and his wife Maria of Howell, Gary Roe and his wife Sue of Shrewsbury, Brian Roe of Lincroft, Glenn Roe of Farmingdale, and Cheryl and her husband Ray Rust of Tinton Falls; six grandchildren, Jennifer, D.J, David, and Stephen Roe, Sam and Ashley Rust.

All arrangements are private and under the care of the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to The Arc of Monmouth, 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls NJ 07712. Please visit George's memorial website available at www.johnedayfuneralhome.com.
