Gerald Fitzpatrick Obituary
Gerald Fitzpatrick, 75, of Bayonne and Spring Lake Heights, passed away suddenly on August 18. Jerry was an attorney with Fitzpatrick & Fitzpatrick in Bayonne. He was a parishioner of Saint Catharine RC Church in Spring Lake and a member of the Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club. An avid golfer, Jerry was a member of the Men's Golf Association at Fairway Mews in Spring Lake Heights. He graduated from Saint Peter's Prep in Jersey City, Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT, and Seton Hall University Law School in Newark. He was a die-hard Yankee and Jeopardy fan. Jerry was a devoted husband and father to four daughters who all adored him, and together they shared "a lot of laughs." He finally received the beautiful gift of two grandsons whom he loved dearly.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents Francis G. and Marian Tierney Fitzpatrick. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-one years, Liz Fitzgerald Fitzpatrick, his loving daughters and their spouses, Allison Fitzpatrick Weir and Douglas Weir of NYC, Mary Elizabeth and Peter Myers of Pennington, NJ, Katy Fitzpatrick of NYC, Krissy and Kevin Ryan of NYC, and his loving grandsons Brendan and Christopher Myers
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 22, from 3 -7 pm at the Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D Street, Belmar, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30am at Saint Catharine RC Church, Spring Lake. Committal to follow at Saint Anne Cemetery, Wall Township.
