Gerald E. McCray

Hillsborough

Gerald E. McCray passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Feb, 14, 2013. Born in Elizabeth Port, NJ on February 27, 1930, he was a life-long resident of Hillsborough, NJ. He graduated Somerville High School, served in the U.S. Army and worked for PSE&G retiring in 1989.

He is predeceased by his parents, Orville and Irene (Watson) McCray and a sister, Loretta C. McCray. Surviving are his wife of nearly 58 years, Anne (McHugh) McCray; four children, Robert J. and wife Suzanne McCray, Lawrence and wife Ulrike, Ellen (McCray) Kennedy, John and wife Lisa McCray; 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Wyatt, Shannon and Hanna McCray and Peter Miller all of Hillsborough. He is also survived by his brother, Robert H. and wife Kathryn McCray of Hillsborough and a sister, Virginia and her husband Brevoort Conover of Bethlehem, PA, and many nephews and nieces.

There will be no visitation and cremation is private under the direction of Hillsborough Funeral Home.
