AGE: 82 • East Orange

Gladys Estelle Taylor-Wright, of East Orange, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012, as a result of a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Keyport on July 20, 1930 and graduated from Keyport High School. Gladys was married to Roosevelt Lamont Wright Sr. and was preceded in death by her husband and her youngest daughter, Eudora Nate' Wright-Conway. She was an accomplished military wife and homemaker, Eastern Star and enjoyed many activities such as music, oil painting, cards and trips to Atlantic City.

She is survived by her children, Claudia Kelliehan, Sheila (Shelly) Ryans (Jimmy), Roosevelt (Lamont) Wright Jr.; brother, Purcell Taylor (Bessie); 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a host of relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at Second Baptist Church, 205 Atlantic St., Keyport, NJ 07735.
