Gregory Sadowski Obituary

Gregory David Sadowski

AGE: 43 • Branchburg

Gregory D. Sadowski, 43, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Born in Ridgewood NJ, he grew up in Fairlawn NJ and various places before moving to Branchburg 12 years ago. He was the Vice President of Imaging at ICON Medical Imaging in PA. Greg was an avid Giants and Rutgers football fan. He loved traveling, reading, playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his children. Greg had a smile that would light up every room he walked in. He was caring, compassionate, funny, generous, and so much more. His family and friends were everything to him. He even became an ordained minister so that he could marry many of his closest friends. His beautiful heart will be cherished in our memories forever, and he will be greatly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Michael and Sophie Dorio, and Walter and Lillian Sadowski. Surviving are his beloved wife of 15 years Cheryl Kaine Sadowski, formerly of Dumont NJ, his cherished son and daughter, Kyle and Alexandra Sadowski of Branchburg NJ, his beloved mother and father, Vincent and Barbara Sadowski of Fair Lawn, NJ; his dear brother, Doug and his wife Emily Sadowski of Glen Rock NJ; and 8 loving nieces and nephews, Jessica, Kevin, Sean, Kristen, Colleen, Adele, Meredith, and Derek.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Committal is private. Greg thank you so much for being in my life. You are the guy everyone always wanted to hang out with. Lucky for our families we see each other almost every other day. The last thing you said to me was "Thanks for coming over and try not to punch to many walls when you are pissed off". I laughed but not knowing those would be the last words I heard from your voice. You were the greatest friend any one can have. And you were there for me when I needed you. Its been a little under 3 months since you were gone and things haven't been normal. When I see you again one day I will tell you all the amazing things that have happened. I wish I could go back in time and have at least one commersaition knowing that you are all right. I know that all this spelling isn't correct but Greg would understand my spelling. I know that you will not be able to read this but as a angle you will be reading it. This is the type of guy that you wanna become and Cheryl,Kyle, and Alex you were very lucky people to have this guy in your life. Maybe not for long but he stayed as long as he could until god made the decsion that suffering is over. This is a tribute to my personal inspiring guy that I love and will be in my heart for ever. All the memories are saved. Thank You. I love you Greg. R.I.P-Sal Altomonte

So sorry for your loss. Greg was the most genuine, funny, smart person I ever met. I only got to know him for a short period of time but in that time he left a huge impression. Working with him was truly inspiring and I only wish I got to know him longer. He was a dedicated father and husband and talked about his family with so much love. I can't even imagine what you mush be going through. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Cheryl,
I am very sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I remember when I first met Greg although I cannot remember whether the organization was called DLB or we had passed that stage.

It was easy to notice his very engaging personality and his superb technical skills. In a short time it was clear that Greg also possessed management, leadership, and negotiating attributes in abundance. That was quite a combination, especially to have them so early in a person's career.

We did play golf a few times together. I think it was early in Greg's golfing career but I remember that he always hit it straight. Those were very enjoyable times together, often sharing humorous stories about work and our colleagues. Greg was a bit of a rascal with some of those stories. As I now reminisce I can clearly recall the very first hole that we played together just the two of us.

I have heard from colleagues about how Greg dealt with this illness. Words such as brave and courageous were mentioned with great respect.

I hope that you and your children can find comfort and solace by knowing that so many of us have such a high regard for the husband, father, friend and colleague that Greg was and will continue to be in our memories.
