HELEN D. BUDESA
AGE: 97
SOUTH SEASIDE PARK
Helen D. Budesa, 97, a longtime resident of South Seaside Park, passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Bey Lea Village, Toms River. Born in Yugoslavia, she came to the United States as a young girl. Helen lived in North Bergen before moving to South Seaside Park in 1945. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband, Marian L. Budesa, in 1980; and her son-in-law, Lee Leifert. Surviving are her loving children, Catherine (Lillian) Leifert of Toms River, and Robert D. Budesa and his wife Linda of Pine Beach; her grandchildren, Douglas Leifert and his wife Laurie, Susan Leifert, Steven Leifert, Brian Leifert and his wife Christinya, Robert D. Budesa Jr., William B. Budesa, Michael A. Budesa and Matthew R. Budesa; six cherished great-grandchildren, Jenna, Rachel, Paul, Rebecca, Daniel and Gregory; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. Donations may be made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513 in Helen's memory.
