Henry Okuszka Obituary
AGE: 79 • Hazlet
Henry J. Okuszka, "Hank", 79, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 25 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Hank was born on December 26, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, where he grew up. In 1961, he and his wife Lillian moved to Hazlet to raise their family. Hank was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign War of Hazlet, a member of the Hazlet Recreation Committee and a coach of the Hazlet Youth League. He enjoyed crabbing, visiting Atlantic City and spending days at the race track.
He was predeceased by his parents, Adam and Lottie Witkowski Okuszka and his beloved and devoted wife, Lillian Maliszewski Okuszka. Hank is survived by his loving children, Diane L. Furlong and her husband Thomas of Hazlet, Steven Okuszka and his wife Kelly of PA, Scott Okuszka and his wife Janine of Hazlet, Dawn Carton and her husband Jonathan of Hazlet, his dear brother and sister, Robert Okuszka and his wife Jean of Yale, MI, Marilyn Toole and her husband Roger of Barnegat, and his cherished grandchildren, Kelly Coppola, Brian Furlong, Lauren Furlong, Kevin Furlong, Jimmy Okuszka, Brianne Okuszka, Jonathan Carton and Christopher Carton. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, February 28 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm and Wednesday, February 29 from 9 to 9:45am at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Rt 35 N, Hazlet 07730. Mass of Christian Burial, The Catholic Church of St. Ann, Keansburg, Wednesday, February 29, 10:15am. Interment, Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
