AGE: 77 BRICK
Herbert Litwin, 77, of Brick, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was a communications specialist at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown for 30 years, retiring nine years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and attained the rank of petty officer. He was a member of the V.F.W., Brick and American Legion, Brick. Born in Morristown, he lived in Gillette before moving to Brick in 1985.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Cooney Litwin; two sons, Robert Litwin and his wife Karen of Mount Laurel, and Thomas Litwin of Manahawkin, Stafford; two brothers, Benjamin Litwin and Seymour Litwin; two sisters, Charlotte Lorberbaum and Libby Wertheim; and five grandchildren, Tamarra, Tabatha, Abigail, Madison, and David.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Visitation, Brick. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
