Ira Kay Kephart

AGE: 69 • Osceola Mills, PA

Ira Kay Kephart, 69, of Osceola Mills, Pa died at his home Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 1, 1942 he was the son of the late Dorsey and Mae (Haines) Kephart. He married Karen (Merrell) Kephart on Aug. 19, 1961, she survives him at home. He was an electrician for Union Carbide of Piscataway for 36 years before retiring in 2002. Over the years he enjoyed woodworking, softball, bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kephart was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bonnie Marie Kephart; two sisters, Bethel Wilkes and Dorothy Gomez and two brothers, Kirby and Gary J. Kephart. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Karen Kephart; one daughter, Sheila Natale and her husband Frank of Middlesex; one son, Kevin and his wife Jacinta Kephart of San Diego, CA; four sisters, Marion Gibson and her husband Chuck of Las Vegas, NV, Donna Jones and her husband Clair and Josephine (Jo) and her husband George all of Homer City, Pa, Gloria Lutz and her husband Allen of Brisbin, Pa and two brothers, Kenneth Kephart and his wife Pat of Bryan, Tx and Keith Kephart of Sandy Ridge, Pa, also surviving are eight grandchildren, Michael Natale of Midddlesex, Patrick Natale of Glen Lyon, Pa and Danielle VanNostrand and her husband Kevin of Middlesex, Wulfran, Kurtis, Austin, Malakai and Majana Kephart all of San Diego, CA; one great- granddaughter, Amanda VanNostrand and many nieces and nephews.
