Irene Wozniak Oltarzewski, 86, of Toms River, died peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2016. She was born on August 30, 1929 to the late Wladyslaw and Mary (Raszkowska) Wozniak, in Bayonne, New Jersey. A graduate of Bayonne High School, she was a long-time resident of Oakhurst, before moving to Toms River in 2015. Mrs. Oltarzewski worked for over 30 years as a procurement clerk for the U.S. Department of Defense at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. She was a fluent Polish speaker and a devout Catholic who loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by Edward Oltarzewski, her husband of 28 years, and a grandson, Andrew Oltarzewski. Surviving are her loving children: Edward Oltarzewski, Frederick Oltarzewski and his wife Maria Oltarzewski, John Oltarzewski and his wife Monica Oltarzewski, and Mary-Jane Oltarzewski and her husband Craig Gartner, as well as her 8 cherished grandchildren and her great grandson.

Visitation will be held at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River on Monday, August 15, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. www.silvertonmemorial.com. A funeral mass will be held at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 1674 Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, on Tuesday, August 16 at 9:15 am. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
