James Ahern Obituary
Wall - James Michael Ahern, 28, passed away suddenly, at home on December 7, 2018. James was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of Wall. He graduated Wall Township High School in 2009 where he was a proud member of the bowling club. He was happily employed by Walmart in Brick for the past 6 years. He was an avid WWE fan, loved Pokemon and enjoyed vacations with his family as well as trips to Atlantic City. He was the greatest, happy go lucky man anyone would want to meet. James had an upbeat and cheerful attitude despite the many health complications he faced. He never complained and had a positive outlook. James was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward Ahern, Anthony and Mary Zurich and brother, Bryan Ahern, in 2007. Surviving are his loving parents, Patrick and Debra Ahern of Wall; grandmother, Patricia Ahern; cherished uncles, aunts, cousins and beloved friends. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 5-8PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Sea Girt on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 9:30AM. An interment will follow at St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt. So very sorry to hear this news. I knew James from Wall Intermediate, where I was a teacher. I remember him as always smiling and happy. May the memories you shared sustain you. Keeping his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sure his brother Bryan is hugging him now!!

I had the pleasure of having James when he was in pre school and also middle school. He was always so sweet and brought a smile every time he walked into a room. I am sorry for your loss. Thinking of all his family and friends at this difficult time.
